Looking for some advice here fellas.
Kubota Lowboy II GL 7000 Diesel Generator 2010 date
Going to look at this unit with intent to buy.
What should I look for ?
I don't really have any portable appliances to load test it.
I have been in the market for a couple years for a water cooled diesel unit of 7500 - 10,000 watt unit to back-up my home. This unit is 6500 w but I'm pretty sure it will run everything I need .. although maybe not all at the same time. ie .. Electric stove/oven .. electric hot water tank ... 220 submersible well pump .. microwave ... tv .. lights .. window AC ... fuel oil furnace/blower
I have been using a cheapie 3500 chinacrap for several years & it will keep me from freezing to death .. lights .. TV .. even pump up the 220 well .. if I shut everything else down .. I've even run the window AC unit ... but it sure won't run the oven or the hot water heater.
It's really a Pain in the butt to store gasoline these days .. which is why I'm interested in a diesel unit. I have 3 home heating tanks right inside my generator shanty.
Can anyone tell me if this model unit has proven itself to be reliable ?
Can anyone tell me if this is an 1800 RPM unit ?
Any visual areas I need to look at upon inspection ... other than obvious oil / coolant leaks & such ?
Is there a common area prone to freeze cracking that I should immediately lay eyes on ?
Just hoping that maybe someone here has a unit like this & can tell me what to look for.
I'm no whiz at electronics & such. I can wire up circuits & such .. & I wired up the gen patch system to my home .. including the main switch Lock-Out device & multiple Amp / Hrtz / voltage meters into the system patch.
Thanks for any information ... as I respect what you smart electrical type guys know !

Since the 1950s, the US government has been making plans to combat air pollution.
From its inception to enforce the Clean Air Act of 1970, a law which provided much more stringent emission regulations, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has implemented regulations strategically to improve air quality by reducing harmful emissions.
If you are looking for more details, kindly visit diesel generator open type.
Diesel exhaust is one of these harmful emissions, and as such, the regulations have had an impact on on-road and off-road vehicles and engines, including non-road diesel engines and stationary diesel engine generator sets (find out if diesel generators really are bad for the environment).
But though this may sound as though it were a hardship for this industry, it has led to engine improvements that reduce emissions and boost performance.
To make the process go smoothly, an implementation system was designed to allow all stakeholders—including scientists and manufacturers, among others—to develop the knowledge and technologies necessary to meet these regulatory goals. Really, the implementation system is more accurately described as a tier system put in place to accommodate the process. Here, we outline what you should know about the tier emissions ratings for diesel generators.
