These ingredients are usualy found in things like rub n buff not to be putting spam out there intentionaly you understand but this is an example it is also in make up powder and to make cream powder type eyeshadows etc so it is able to be applied thinly and it can be rubbed or wiped on. I had been asking about it as am sure there are artists out there who use waxes and they are available on artists shops to buy for such purposes. What I had not found was any one supplying the wax in a coated form reason I ask is it is slightly different to just using the wax reason I know I want to use it is because being a woman I have used make up at various points in my life and can remember doing mixed media in my teens and putting everything but the kitchen sink on my work lol (but more seriously now..) I remember putting and smudging make up on there etc etc so is how I know what it is like in fact some make up products have egzactly same ingredients as some artists mediums all be it slightly different due to using different oils in them as there is no need for any cureing process. I think I may just get it from themake up site ready made and add the oils the cureing type obviously..

bit of an odd question WF Martin but I understand you like to apply your oil paints thinly and I understand you use lead oil paint as a base am I correct? Also I understand you make your own medium so it is able to do what you want it to do..(well this is what I am trying to do also) do you ever get any problems with dust on your painting ? as you use a brush and paint in thin layers. One thing that has been infuriating me immensely as of late is when micro tiny hairs dust whatever ends up on last layer and am sick of sanding is especialy difficult if it was a thin layer very frustrating with oil paint as is such a faff to keep brush clean in between applying paint (with acrylics I can just swish the brush in water and all dust etc come off) so was thinking to use a medium (ie the wax etc)I can rub or wipe in without a brush(or any issues of tiny debree being in the hairs)and have a medium that is oil based ..just some experimentation is all..bet you wish you had never asked lol
