Arche Inspirations

GOLDEN MOMENTUM

CHENGXINRUN Product Page

Sculpture or furniture? The creativity of Studio Voukenas Petrides reconciles both ambitions. Each piece is patiently handcrafted. Here, metal calls out for a caress to fully experience the subtlety of the material, design and complex structure. Design or function? Maison arche cultivates a sense of graphic harmony as well as the right balance for walking. The SHARAM sandal, a new creation for summer 24, is a perfect example. Its gold full-grain leather straps embrace the feet with chic, tactile suppleness.

OPEN-MINDEDNESS

Let the sunshine in, whether in the city or on holiday: MAKUKO sandals have everything you need to enjoy the fresh air in a natural way. Bringing the light in, magnifying the nature of the place: with a particularly inventive strategy, design studio One-Aftr has completely rehabilitated an abandoned section of the South Korean city of Jeonju into a convivial space. Café Dabang was developed in three former industrial buildings. From rehabilitation challenges to reuse issues, the One-Aftr studio considered all the existing resources of the much-altered site. The result is an open café-teahouse that encourages the circulation of both air and people. The wild plants that had colonized the interior were even preserved, enlivening the unprecedented beauty of this indoor garden.

REFLECTS IN SIGHT

A tribute to light and texture, the Composizione Astratta mirror imagined by Studio Zero overlays visions according to the observer's movements. From different points of view, gold and black are poetically intertwined in transparency and harmony. This composition of reflections and surfaces offers the eye a contemplative stroll through space. With MAKOTA sandals, the stroll also takes an unexpectedly stylish path. Glamorous gold and black patent... and casual sandals too: everyone will find their own way between assertive elegance and confident casualness.

PROPER TWIST

Designed for the Santa Barbara Museum of Contemporary Art, the Nylon Turntables series is a singular blend of purity and ornament. In creating these sculptural tables, designer Philippe Malouin has nonetheless conceived pieces whose simple geometry can easily be combined with other objects, whatever their style or color. The beaded pattern of the Turntables is assertive, yet leaves room for many combinations. The same is true of the SADKYA boots: a pure line, highlighted by perforations that set the tone - while giving free rein to the season's imagination in pairing them with midi skirts or bootcut jeans.

STYLE IN SIGHT

Through the days of SADIZI derbies, you'll find yourself longing for summer air. Through the windows of the Hotel Janeiro, you'll catch the most exotic panorama: Brazilian cool in all its magnitude and refinement, designed by Siqueira Azul agency. Minimalist modernist architecture, the sea on the horizon, and a &#;je ne sais quoi&#; of relaxation, studied down to the smallest detail in beautiful, carefully chosen materials.

HYBRID DELIGHTS

It's close to the hustle and excitement of the Chinese city of Shenzhen, but in a haven of nature. The architecture designed by Gengshang Design for the Lanxi Tangquan Bubble Pool Hotel combines radical minimalism with an invitation to reconnect with the poetry of the surroundings. Everyone will find their own wellness path, at their own pace, without having to renounce their urban genes or deny themselves the pleasure of an open landscape. At its own pace too, slip-on SADKOO knows how to move with style from urban activity to resort delights.

LOOKING GOOD AND FEELING GOOD

The signature of IXMANE sandals  is the desire to express design in all its durability. At the heart of this new arche creation for Summer 24 is a respect for expert craftsmanship and a choice of selected materials... in the service of a harmonious line. A light-hearted gateway to Madrid's Tramo restaurant. In addition to its contemporary dishes prepared exclusively with ingredients from local farmers and breeders, the place is resolutely eco-designed. Conceived by the Selgascano architectural firm and designer Andreu Carulla, Tramo was built using a closed-circuit process. Also noteworthy are the ceramic modules, which not only provide aesthetically distinctive seating, but are also innovative and clever natural heating and cooling modules.

ACCURATE BALANCE

If the IXTRAS fisherman sandal explores contemporary style with an uncommon sense of craftsmanship, so too do the creations of Korean designer Donghoon Sohn. For the record, the very name of this multi-disciplinary designer contains the literal essence of his work: in Korean, "Sohn" means "hand" as well as "craft". With its sharp lines, &#;One series Shelves&#; gives full measure to this demand for craftsmanship. At once refined and complex, this sculptural piece of furniture expresses all the attention paid to perfect finishing: a manifesto of harmony.

COMBINING IDEAS

When light appeals as much to the eye as to the touch: the Dyade line by French designer Pauline Pietri brings together two complementary sensibilities. Two skills: the one of the designer and the one of the cabinetmaker. Two materials: textured polycarbonate and wood. In vases or lamps, the Dyade line creates a harmonious interplay of reflections and cast shadows. In the light of nature, the IXTRAS sandal also combines two appealing tactilities: soft beige faience nubuck on a supple ridged sole. An invitation to let the summer sun shine... with both feet.

STRONG PRESENCE

An international contemporary art exhibition in the middle of the desert: a look back at the "Desert X AlUla" event in Saudi Arabia in March . This open-air experience brought together artists, curators and art lovers on the edge of spectacular natural beauty. Inspired by the surrounding desert, the 16 artworks presented invited visitors to reflect on the relationship between man and his original environment. These installations, brought together for the exhibition "In the Presence of Absence", encouraged visitors to reflect on what cannot be seen. The journey through AlUla's breathtaking canyons was all the more immersive if experienced on foot. And here, to keep up the pace and awakening discovery over time, we can only think of the VANNYX high-top sneakers to accompany us: the sneakers that cultivates both graphic singularity and the pleasure of an escape of its own.

TAKING THE RIGHT NOTE

By changing the perception of traditional architectural elements, the exhibition at the Danish Architecture Center in Copenhagen transforms the ordinary into the extraordinary, inviting exploration at every turn. In an immersive environment designed by 3XN GXN architects, Aware - Architecture and Senses encourages visitors to understand and feel their connection with architecture. Six life-size installations can be discovered in motion: the emphasis on space experiment. And it is proven that color and roundness change the way we experience space, we might as well wear HAVATA sneakers to enhance our sense of well-being and aesthetic pleasure. KEEP THE MOMENTUM

The new presentation of the Pinault collection at the Bourse de Commerce is a vision of our times, full of contradictions. Featuring major works of contemporary art, "Le Monde comme il va" (The World as It Goes) is a critical exhibition with a dark humor and satirical slant. However, one contemporary icon alone - Jeff Koons' Balloon Dog - lends the exhibition a playful, even reassuring character. VANNAY sneakers, with their brightly colored accents, are the perfect way to discover this exhibition in a positive light, keeping the momentum alive and to move forward with the times. « Le Monde comme il va » until September 2nd, Pinault Collection Bourse de Commerce_Paris

FRANKED COLORS

The freedom with which Australian artist Stephen Ormandy combines shapes and colors is intense. Here is a rebus of contrasts, a polychromatism that is a pleasure to immerse yourself in. With bright blue, powerful orange and radiant green, even the flattest painting takes on elevation. And what if the flat approach also played on stylistic protrusion? A spontaneous demonstration with the dazzling brushstrokes of the LAIUS ballerina, in a Spring limited edition.

CALLING FOR COLORS

California artist Evan Holloway's playful approach to materials - in this case, tree branches - blends figurative misappropriation and abstract rigor to engage the viewer. His post-modern works, inspired by a particular idea of nature, breathe new life into classical sculpture. With the 'Chromatic Branch' series, colors even form a highly tactile appeal. Between formal lines and a twist of assertive colors, the iconic LAIUS ballerina also takes us towards life, pleasure and play, with its many variations each season.

DECOMPLEXED COLORS

Bob Job is as bold as he is functional. With this seating concept, work doesn't have to be tied up to a desk: here's a playful, agile proposal for meeting space and plural conversations, created by designers Thomas Bernstrand and Stefan Borselius. Each Bob unit operates according to a diversity of color associations and ideas. That reminds us that all it takes is a touch of anti-conformism to turn a mood. With the arche ballerinas' palette of 20 different shades and patterns, this colorful hook is sure to take the look elsewhere.

REINVENTING CLASSICS

A singularly rounded seat. Created by the young French studio Couture Rouge, the Hunk bench renews seating comfort thanks to its impertinent construction, while magnifying it with noble, inviting leather. The COMKOY derby is another example of a bold and distinctive style: with its transparent honey color Lactae Hevea®&#; sole and elegantly sober laces, this plain leather creation reimagines the derby style in its own way.

EXPLORING LINES

Created by the australian studio Cocoflip, the Linear range of lamps explores both a minimalist purity and the richness of authentic materials. Each of Linear&#;s many variations challenges the pleated linen technique, the sense of balance and the diffusion of beautiful light. When it comes to reimagining a sandal, it is also about finding the right balance between the need for beautiful materials, complexion &#; and pleasure of walking. The COMAYA sandal thus takes the spirit of time in a brightly-lit version for summer 24.

EFFETS DE TRANSPARENCES

With his Osmosi collection, designer Emmanuel Babled explores contrasts between mineral materiality and colored transparency. Each of his objects in Carrara marble and Murano glass is the product of outstanding expertise, combining art and function. Between the mattness of white leather and the transparency of its Lactae Hevea®&#; sole, between minimalist aesthetics and the pleasure of walking, the COMKHI moccasin is also elaborated thanks to the know-how of passionate craftsmen.

COLOUR IS THE NEW BLACK

What if, more than just being enticingly one of the the season&#;s must-haves,  colour established itself as a lasting, sure-fire companion, an everyday staple?  Arche has always been a staunch advocate of this approach, crowning its reinvented iconic and classic models with shades of daring. Our VANNAY sneaker here, for example, illustrates its peerless colour-blocking. And while on the subject of colour-blocking, take a close look at the striking lacquered wood seating designed by Nortstudio, which are streamlined essentials that can be assembled at will.

GEOMETRIC POSSIBILITIES

Improvisation and inspiration unfailingly inform American artist Cody Hoyt&#;s ceramic sculptures, which defy standard geometry and equilibria in all their forms. His works are equations with hypnotic nuances that assert their spatial presence in the manner of poetic abstractions. In this respect, they match perfectly with our new VANNAY sneakers, which, although more grounded, are not only just as creative and graphic, but also designed to exalt everyday living.

CROISEE DES CHEMINS

Contrast and light. Curves and straight lines. Against a black background, our HAVATA sneakers&#; colourful interlacing stand out, establishing a brand-new graphic tempo.  Their dynamic vibe echoes here the works of the young Australian artist Belem Lett, whose paintings and sculptures unwaveringly seek to create an infinite connection beween colour and space.

CARRIER WAVES

Attracting the light. Augmenting the reflections, such are the reflective art and craftsmanship in the minutest of detail. Accordingly, the ultra-soft full-grain deerskin of our BARYKY ankle boots, whose pearlescent surface that enhances the coppery metallic effects to the utmost. The same applies to the curves and honeycomb effects of the Infinity console designed by Cesare Arosio for Laura Meroni.

THE CALL OF THE WILD

A cross between the here, now and elsewhere, our iconic BARYKY ankle boots are bedecked with a reptile touch that meshes sleek strides with exotic longing. A mix of genres that also describes, albeit in a different style, the Sjöparken spa hotel, set in the heart of Sweden&#;s natural forests. Designed by Norm Architects, the place transposes its Japanese inspiration to the Great North, to create an environment that is as blissfully zen as it is invigoratingly healthy.

STEADFAST

&#;Standard&#; chair, created to conform to the human anatomy. Its sleek, precision lines have stood the test of time, down through the decades, striking a perfect balance between common sense, well-being and ergonomic design. This winning combination &#; and timeless modernity &#; also apply to our iconic BARYKY ankle boots, embraced here by a refined moss-green finish.

HEAVENLY FLAME

Bringing earth and sky together is the concept behind plant-based wax candlemaker Olfactif&#;s products, which offer customised designs in line with the customer&#;s star sign. They even come in hand-made recycled clay containers and diffuse scents that are definitely in keeping with the times, as things natural are appreciating in value, in every sense of the word. And briskly making headway, as illustrated by our FATALY ballerinas in their chalk tone colour scheme.

PURE CONTOURS

Getting back to basics is increasingly in demand. And yet, this is no easy task, requiring expert craftsmanship, with simplicity that calls for talent and meticulousness. Accordingly, perfect proportions, rounded contours and bright contrasts make all the difference with our FATAYA derbies. In the same vein, the freestanding lamp from French design studio Sattio, with its fine geometric balance, greyish-beige and white shades have got just what it takes for lasting appeal. And a long life.

TAKING TURNS

It&#;s all about perfect proportions and select materials. Unlined and with sure-fire softness, our BARYKY ankle boots are trusty companions now and forever. In turn, the same virtuosity and durability also apply to the Spun outdoor chair created by Thomas Heatherwick for Magis, which gives the design its true properties: the inseparable qualities of form and function.

THE ART OF NUANCE

Diving the depths of colour and shades thereof is one of Aldo Bakker&#;s obsessions. To this end, the Dutch designer doesn&#;t think twice about appropriating the ancestral Japanese tradition of urushi lacquering. For his wait/weight seat, the lacquer is applied layer upon layer to its convex forms, thereby contributing to its incredible sculptural sensuality. Striking just the right balance between texture and lines is aso the same guiding principle for our SUZKELankle boots in deep rich khaki nubuck leather.

RETROUVER LE NORD

&#; And that truly satisfying feeling of cold outside / warm inside, synonymous with the perfect art of living. The only criterion in terms of climate is that what&#;s natural does you good; and gentle, like our COMSHO ankle boots lined with glacier blue wool, poised for wintertime adventures. There&#;s no reason that this shouldn&#;t include a trip to the Highland Base à Kerlingarfjöll, Iceland, where you can enjoy the hot springs, ski tours and hikes. The resort, designed by architecture firm Basalt is the promise &#; one that it lives up to &#; of a change of scenery, purely and simply. And an unforgettable feeling of well-being.

BONS CONTACTS

A story of natural, tactile materials, which give you the irresistible to touch them so that you can feel their unique difference. To this effect, the attractively refined pony-style leather of our JOHIRO derbies appeals to our aesthetic sense&#; and to our fingertips. The same applies to the lacquered steel coffee table and smooth mineral travertine by French designer Axel Chay.

FINES BÛCHES

The crème de la crème of soft-to-the-touch textures and bright shades is without a doubt the pon-style calf leather of our BAOTAN ankle boots and VANAME sneakers &#; caressingly exquisite. The clear winter sky sets its light and sights on the season&#;s gourmet creations: the seaonal yule logs devised by, on the one hand, Matthieu Carlin, head pâtissier at the Hotel Crillon in collaboration with designer Victoria Wilmotte, a vanilla and caramel sculpture, and on the other by Claire Heitzler, a radiant ring of hazelnuts and praline.

ICONIC BALANCE

As every designer knows that simplicity is the toughest challenge of all. This is especially true when it comes to applying the precept that &#;less is more&#;, which means striking just the right balance between form, function and creativity. This is what distinguishes our quintessential ARCHETTE ankle boots, which in white emphasise more than any other the model&#;s intrinsic, timeless contours. The same applies to the sleek timeless style of the tables designed by Eero Aarnio. Thirty years after it was first launched, the Parabel line continues to bring incredible modernity into play.

AN ICON OF COMFORT

A luxuriant, protective shell, with soft, organic lines are the distinguishing features of the Egg armchair. Created by Sweden&#;s Arne Jacobsen in , it was a beacon of ground-breaking inventiveness at the time. The chair has now become one of the greatest classics of modern design. And the epitome of creature comfort. This is also the aim of our BARYKY ankle boots, the purpose of which is to cross the season with the same timeless &#; and natural &#; verve.

NATURE AT WORK

Does nature always get it right? This question lies at the very heart of young Berlin-based designer Lukas Wegwerth&#;s work. His creations generously nurtures the interactions between nature and artifice, coincidences and intentions. In the same vein, the Armadillo cabinet is a one-off piece in oak, larch and poplar, which looks as though it were found by magic somewhere a forest. At all events, the natural touch skilfully creates an element of surprise in the most exquisite surroundings. If further proof is needed, our BAOZZE lined ankle boots are also at home here, there and everywhere.

THE RIGHT PROPORTIONS

Architecture is all about striking balance in lines, materials and volumes. It is an art that, as with science, has to be exact. Which is why, at arche, we unfailingly work on the concept of exactitude, which is characterised here by our LARROW ankle boots, its palette of beige shades, lug platform sole and fine laces. In turn, the Beach Hô in Cap d&#;Antibes , is designed for the city, and in entirely in keeping with modernity at its most sustainable. The perfectly proportioned building, recently renovated by Bernard Dubois , proves that restraint and authenticity go hand in hand, thus giving guests the (genuine) feeling of time standing still.

DESIGN ON ALL CYLINDERS

The essence of quintessence. Our COMINA ankle boots take sleek refinement design to new heights. The strong, elegant lines are in complete harmony here with the output of young Dutch designer Rino Classens. Accordingly, his modular ceramic furniture with streamlined curves keep a high profile to the touch, casting a cleverly graceful modern approach.

BRILLIANT COMBINATIONS...

&#;. of black patent leather and python motifs for the ultimate in rock star derby JOLEEN on top form and in true spirit. And of a variety of crystal globes, to match as you please: designed by Boris Klimek, for Bomma, these made-to-measure light fittings place the emphasis on the client&#;s wishes and guiding lights.

MIX 'N' MOSAICS

How do you bring about that extra je-ne-sais-quoi? This is the question pondered by the architect firm Noke in designing the Italian restaurant bar Va Bene Cicchetti, in the heart Warsaw. Inspired by the gilded splendour of the Venetian Renaissance, it commissioned artist Ola Niepsuj to reinterpret the art of mosaics in her own manner. The result is a timeless opulent décor on a red backdrop tinged with exoticism, the very one that, criss-crossed by python motifs, crowns our JOELOO ankle boots with universal essence.

ALLEGRO PIANISSIMO

When a classic icon takes on contemporary notes&#; Making the radiant red python motif its very own, our TAIMOK moccasins leave main-travelled roads with great panache, while the renowned piano maker Steinway proudly commissioned award-winning Italian designer Luca Nichetto to create a limited edition of its legendary instrument. The Gran Nichetto, which features a walnut veneer, stainless-steel accents and red lacquering, is equipped with avant-garde technology that doesn&#;t detract from its musical excellence.

GREEN CULT

To be seen over and over again, the canvases of painter Nicolas de Staël are a feast of colour and matter at work. The subject of an exhibition at the Musée d&#;Art Moderne de Paris they evoke a sense of escape: off into the horizon, into eternity of sorts, impasto escapes that are timeless, defying seasons and fashions. And yet, they also help in bringing green and play a part in bringing green &#; and its popularity &#; up to date, in a rich palette of shades, as with our LOMAGE in khaki, a colour that is as deeply contemporary as it is timeless.

A SIGN OF THE TIMES. AND TEMPO

Bathed in a touch of sleekness and a dash of glamour is probably the best way to describe our Taisha ankle boots, with their ultra-soft patent leather and minimalist lines that create timeless duo. It is also probably the best way to describe Muriel Ughetto&#;s creations, her interior fragrances in particular, whose bottles and stands are as fine-tuned and refined at the fragrances they diffuse.

RED AGLOW

Voluptuous curves, radiant shine, all in good humour; adorned with lacquered reflections, the virtues of red ramp up the power. As illustrated by the limited-edition blown-glass Jumbo vases for the Chamber Gallery, with their beamingly design. The same goes for our Taikho derbies, with their joyfully sassy patent leather.

CLASSIC ENLIGHTENMENT

Casting light on the subject. In hushed tones. An entrée into the real world. Such is the genius of yellow ochre, which gives our LOMAGE ankle boots their genuine soft power. It also gives the suite at the Hotel Genevieve in Louisville, Kentucky, its aura with an extra touch of elegance. Designed by Rohe Creative, the place is imbued with French-style classicism, in which time and tranquillity stand still.

THE ART OF NUANCE

At arche, nubuck leather comes in all manner of deep, rich forms, with effects that offer intensity and movement. In this instance LOMAGE deep pink ankle boots, that changes subtly with the light and time of day. This is what gives it its distinctive and distinguished look, serving as a reminder &#; if need be &#; of the extent to which colour is living matter. In this respect, its undisputed master is the painter Mark Rothko, the magician of shades and nuances, whose hypnotic works have pride of place at the Fondation Louis Vuitton de Paris, until April .

REFLECTIONS AND RELIEF EFFECTS

On the importance of cut-out interplays and geometric effects: where our Anyska ankle boots are concerned, both cast the most timeless of black patent into a decidedly contemporary dimension, whereas New York-based artist Vanha Lam turns it into the leitmotif for her miniature sculpture paintings, architectural folding &#; somewhere between &#;intention and intuition&#;  &#; with a hypnotic edge.

CARRIER WAVES

Quite simply high impact. Quite simply familiar. A black patent finish that proves its &#;cool&#; look over and over again. Our Shelsi ankle boots make their presence felt, without any fussy. As do the bench and armchair from New York design studio Jumbo, which fit in comfortably everywhere. https://jumbo.nyc/ https://www.arche.com/fr_en/boots-shelsi-23h1j578shelsieb12noi01.html

BEYOND TIME

A new rhythm for two timeless designs: the Shelsi  boot with its tinted cumin yellow, resonate with the most radiant autumnal colours. Meanwhile, in Brussels, the legendary Royale Belge, a jewel of functionalist architecture designed in the s by René Stapels and Pierre Dufau has changed status (and not stature): led by Jean-Michel André, designed by Lionel Jadot, is now a destination in its own right, that includes a hotel, restaurants, a sports club, swimming pools, a conference center, an auditorium... all redesigned and regenerated in an eco-responsible approach.

GOOD LOOKS

Salmon Eye, as it is called, naturally catches our attention. The floating exhibition centre is moored in one of Norway&#;s most impressive fjords, to promote a sustainable economy, in both a fun and didactic way. A challenge that&#;s well worth a visit, especially as the construction, by Danish design studio Kvorning in conjunction with Kvadrat Acoustics, is simply breathtaking. Its round, minimalist contours are definitely see &#;eye to eye&#; with our Omymhi derbies.

GEOMETRIC RADIANCE

The solid and the void. Black and white are, admittedly, basic contrasts, yet they never cease to inspire designers. Our perforated omymhi stand out as a breath of fresh air. Combining translucent white with a black frame, Korean designer Kim Bo Kyoung&#;s tables for Movimento afford a series of fresh perspectives, striking a balance between sturdiness and finesse.

WE HAVE LIFT OFF

What was long considered futuristic is now plays an active and attractive role in the present. The same is true of the head-to-toe white look with a resolutely astronaut feel, as a promise of style on dry land, with our Naskay sneakers. As such, it also happens to be an of living in outer space, an extraordinary experience aboard the Céleste Zephalto capsule designed by Vincent Farret d&#;Astiès in conjunction with France&#;s National Centre for Space Studies: a pressurised bubble which manoeuvres like a hot-air balloon. Architect Joseph Dirand is behind the airy aesthetics, which are wholly dedicated to giving the passengers (six in all) entire satisfaction during their journey into the stratosphere, in other words in seventh heaven.

GREEN SHOOTS

Green is the colour that adds confidently refreshing pizzazz to our Hilaya sneakers. Green is the colour that adds a welcome dash of vitality, too. Green is also the colour that injects wit and acts as a connector for the modular lacquered wood shelving designed by the Paris-based Brichet Ziegler studio. And last but not least, green is the colour that can be a boon for everyday living.

DASHING COLOURS

Bright colours are a recipe for putting a lasting smile on your face. Even if they state they are, literally dash(ing), as illustrated here by Adélie Ducasse&#;s variations on handmade ceramic lamps, as fun totem sculptures. They light up the way for our Makhao et Ixolla mules and sandals, which share the same vibrant spirit in celebration of summer.

YELLOW... TO PERFECTION

What if yellow was this summer&#;s colour? Sunny, radiant and resolutely graphic. In other words, in perfect harmony with summer light. This is, in any case, the conviction of French design studio Aluvy, which didn&#;t think twice about producing a range of ultra-contemporary barbecues in a palette of colours, including dazzling sunflower yellow. This choice is also championed and reommended by arche, which, in turn, offers its shiny Ixorry sandals.

BOLDLY INVIGORATING

Flashes of colour are just what you need! Bright shades that give you a boost under any circumstance, as champions of an optimistic outlook. Needless to say that this implies finding just the right combinations. Our Galano sandals play with invigorating harmonies, while our Galade mules place their bets on more radical contrasts. The works by the Dutch Rotteveel Vermeer colourist duo enjoy blurring the lines and proportions, which take in lustre and materials, flat tints and volumes&#;

SQUARE ROOTS

Geometric interplays of round and square shapes are the order of the day here. The The urge for strong, yet airy lines. The same principle is the connection between arche&#;s Drick slip-ons and Dutch design studio Os and Oos, both are committed to creating timeless models thanks to clean, graphic, quintessential figures.

INTRICATE DETAILS

At a crossroads, where town and seaside resort, truly urban(e) refinement and truly summer cutouts come together. Our Kisaya sandals set the tone this season, here, there and everywhere, leaving the feet uncovered yet subtly caressed by shades of Parma pink. At another crossroads, where French craftsmanship and innovative approaches, technical support and original designs meet, design srudio Cogitech, which carries the Living Heritage Company label, keeps notching up its achievements. As illustrated here by the balloon table that resembles a shifting landscape, made from plaster and sand, designed Najla El Zein, the side tables made from mortar-coated industrial cardboard for their own edition of Manufacture XXI, lacquered fibreglass lamps.

MAMBO MAGIC

Parma pink sashayed on the runways this season, in a variety of forms: floating, wavy, fluctuating, bright, fun, refined, with all-round charm. Giving the silhouette a lift. Not to mention the lilting step of mules and sandals in harmonious &#;mambo&#; mauve nubuck, by arche.

GRAND SAND

Sand is definitely in season: sandy beaches that we fantasise about for a summer holidays, sandy shrub-lined paths to embark on carefree jaunts, your feet in the open air with our Makzee mules. And the sand of Swiss design studio Hot Wire Extensions, run by Fabio Henry, whose lamp and graphic stool designs are made from recycled nylon powder and&#; sand, responsibly sourced materials.

BANDS AND BENCHES

Light yet substantial. Airy yet resistant: reflecting on this contradiction is probably one of the most widespread approaches in the world of contemporary design. At arche, it has always been a continuous part of our thinking, which explains the interplay of cutouts and volumes, as seen here with our ixoaly spartan sandals - a perfect balance between openings, support, curves and grooves. And of course, it is also the impetus for the rigorous, ultragraphic up and downstrokes of the outdoor furniture from California-based Laun Studio, circular or further, the solid and sunny serpentine benches.

BREAK AWAY

Less is more. The old saying that never ages and still holds true, especially on sunny days, when it is often associated with the desire to get back to basics. Well-being, balance, nature, and (day)light. The boutique-hotel Villas Kamezi in Lanzarote applies all of these values to the T: fresh white, bioclimate, ecological architecture, with unlimited horizons between the sky and sea. A proficient minimal design, which in turn echoes the elegant, pure and sleek architecture of our Galax mules.

PERSONAL IMPRESSIONS

When design observes nature and its environment with a magnifying glass, the result is a plethora of effects and patterns bordering on the abstract: a framework of droplets inspired by the embossed leather of our auhako sandals, enhancing its graphic dynamics. A shower of rain and the cracking of an egg shell, prompted by the droplets and patterns of Atelier Février&#;s handmade rugs, a subtle duet by designers based in France.

BETWEEN HEAVEN AND EARTH

There are colours. Then there is light, enhanced by colourways and shimmer. This is what gives our myakki sandals their vibrant tone; the copper-coloured leather is everchanging, never quite the same and never quite that different. The pleasure of varying reflections is also due to the atmosphere at the sumptuous spa MiiAmo hotel in the middle of the Arizona desert, which varies from one hour to the next.

TOP OF THE TOPS

Green and orange are on the up and up, as you can see with the dazzling colour scheme for the outdoor furniture at London&#;s rooftop bar and restaurant Wagtail, which allows a 360° panoramic view of the capital. Even on a rainy day, thanks to covered terraces. Green and orange also take on &#; and over &#; the streets, with our kimloo and satia sandals and their deep, rich, confident tones, which are highlighted by their uber-graphic geometric contrasts.

COLOURMANIA

Playing with the full palette of shades and having a great time in the process. Anglo-Nigerian designer Yinka Ilori looks on colour as the most relevant path to a fun and joyful of art of living that&#;s accessible to everyone, with her basket balls, iced cakes, parlour games and crockery, to name but a few. It all lends itself to brighten up everyday living with smiles and personality. This resolutely optimistic approach is, naturally, also shared by our Lilly ballerinas, happy to make a colour splash.

MAJOR RANGE

Graphic, minimalist, unwavering lines focusing on that essential element: colour. Arche&#;s Lilly ballerinas Lilly make a striking breakthrough this season, especially as they place the emphasis on variations of deep, rich tones. Whereas the variations of tables and chairs by the Swedish design collective Stamuli AB, in turn, opt for a dazzling colour blocking mood. In either case, there&#;s no doubt about it: vivid colours are the choice for sealing the pact between form and function.

NEO NEONS

A technicolour story, crafted with an expert hand. At arche, we take colour shades seriously: whether bright, pastel or natural, they are always treated energetically or delicately, as illustrated by our Ballerina Bar. The same high standards apply at the Italian artist and designer studio Draga & Aurel, whose handmade lamps inspired by the 70s are the result of sophisticated, vibrant harmonies of colourful neon effects.

GREEN BEAMS

Self-taught, contemporary art-inspired designer Axel Chay does exactly as he pleases. From his Marseille-based studio, in partnership with his brother Aimeric, an experienced metalworker, he follows his instinct, and his taste for sensual curves, graphic waves, and Mediterranean colours. As illustrated here by his lamps, furniture and fun tubular objects in a bright chlorophyll colour palette. Refreshing tones that never cease to give new impetus, as demonstrated by our Fannhy moccasins.

IN THE FRAME

Set sail for the latitude of your choice and put style in the picture. This season, our Comale flat shoes are at one, body and soul (sole!) with the new ready-to-wear collections, the great majority of which glisten with sailor stripes in all directions and widths.

WAVE CRAFT

Sleek design is celebrated here, striking a perfect balance between form and function. It is the bright clean, precise lines that make our Vanata sneakers an essential companion. Accordingly, it is the minimalist dimensions and up-to-the minute digital technology that make the Alpange piano a major, innovative musical instrument. These two fine examples go to show that the dictum &#;less is more&#; still has a great future ahead of it.

OUTSTANDING RANGE

These two fine examples go to show that the dictum &#;less is more&#; still has a great future ahead of it.

CONTEMPORARY CURRENTS

Ergonomic lines have the wind in their sails. And luxury natural materials and colourways are in favour. The pleasure of sure-fire, genuine values have pride of place. Which is why our Vaname sneakers have created such excitement: at ease and in their rightful place, with their ultimately contemporary feel. This is also explains the aesthetic and technical prowess of the brand-new Y/Yacht 9 conceived by Norm Architects, a work of art not only in its design, but also in the way it embodies par excellence the quest for freedom and back to real sensations.

PURE STYLE

Blending into the environment and being an integral part of the landscape is the ethos behind the Sumei Skyline Coast hotel. Created for the tropical island of Hainan, it is the work of Chinese architects GS Design. As illustrated by the atmospheric white colour scheme, wave forms and light effects, with an ultramarine theme running through it. The streamlined design is reflected in the in every last detail, which was also the guiding light for the design of our Hilkho ankle boots &#; purely and simply beautiful.

PRESENT COMPOUND

Like a new-look jigsaw puzzle, comprised of colours and pieces that make for &#;fitting&#; fit. This is the concept behind the Atelier chair, a one-off piece from French design studio Pool. Taking a front seat, the underlying intention for this experimental, artisanal approach is to turn conventional equilibrium and received ideas on their head. Similarly, our Lamour ballerinas feature graphic effects that are resolutely off the beaten track.

SUMMER SAILS

When bold lines and colours get into a holiday mood, a bright, bracing breeze blows over our Andrix sneakers, which weigh anchor for all manner of excursions, including everyday moves. In the same vein, the collection of earthenware vases from Atelier des designers Baptiste & Jaïna takes in the fresh sea air. Inspired by boat buoys and fenders they transport us straight to a yachting harbour &#; as a souvenir of last summer or the summer to come&#;.

COLOURAMA

A story of alliances and harmonies off the beaten track, when our Vanako sneakers get a boost with honey-coloured Lactae Hevea® soles and stunning bright pastel accords. When, in turn, Mari Masot clay pottery &#; handmade by artist Marissa McInturff in her Barcelona-based studio &#; also attract attention thanks to unusual colour combinations.

HAND AND FOOTWORK

Wood and wood tones are an invitation to meditate. British designer Luke Hope grasps the subject with talented hands, creating artisanal sculptures, as always, which often come back to his signature lines: spoons. He explores an infinite narrative of minimalistic works, in search of the perfect balance between form and function. This design ideal is also shared by arche, as exemplified here by our Baryky ankle boots, whose ultra soft qualities take on of dark wood tones.

THE CALL OF THE DESERT

The name of the game is not only variations in colour, but in places too, and spirit, as always. When you think of a desert, it conjures up images of a breathing space, infinity, and back to basics. Which is undoubtedly one of the reasons that this shade suits our iconic Baryky ankle boots so well, with a truly modern sustainable edge. And assuredly, here again, a contributing factor for the great beauty of the new resort hotel &#; part of the Banyan Tree luxury hotel chain &#; in the heart of the Al Ula desert. Designed by Paris-based agency AW2, its sustainable architecture with touches of ancestral nomadic seems to be suspended in time.

EARTHENWARE ON FORM

To highlight the volumes, the choice of white earthenware tones is undoubtedly the most direct way to emphasise the virtuoso contours and sensuality of curves. As illustrated here by our Bariky ankle boots in earthenware tones, which reveal their design unadorned, striking just the right balance and sense of proportion(s). The earthenware effect is also the premise of the sculptures created by ceramicist Johanna de Clisson in her Paris studio Hiromi, but on an entirely different level, with well-rounded shapes, curved cutaways, lamps and mystery objects&#; The result is architectural profiles sublimated by minimalist tones and nature.

TRIO BRIO

(S)elective affinities, when contrasting colour trios combine to forge surprising graphic momentum. This is the driving force behind the charismatic vim of our Sixxya ankle boots and Comoco loafers reflective effects and shades ramp up the energy. It also forms the character of the stools designed by Luca Nichetto for French brand La Manufacture:  round shapes held by fun metal handles.

ON THE RIGHT TRACK

A motif in its own right, zips play on graphic effects, as illustrated here on the upper side/top of our Edskow ankle boots, both with metallic spirit and reflections. Rather like a mini railway, whose tracks never cease to inspire   tout à la French designer Gwendoline Porte. Her wood furniture sculptures designed to be pieced together at will are actually based on this specific form/shape, the one that also guides her ceramic tile creations for Maison Bahya.

ON ART AND LACQUER

Sheer tradition and the ultimate in bold modernity all rolled into one. In Japan, the urushi is a form of ancestral know-how &#; a painstaking technique of handmade natural lacquering. The wooden bowls and vases created at the time by the great design legend Ettore Sottsass, for Japan&#;s Marutomi, pay tribute to it. The result is an exquisitely polished orange tone, lustrously echoed by the patent leather of our Suzhan sneakers.

BREAKING THE ICE ...

Heading of for new destinations&#; The Arctic Circle this time, and Greenland, which boasts architectural treasures from which you can admire close up the treasures of untamed nature. A panoramic building with twists and turns in wood, glass and steel designed with ecology in lind by Dorte Mandrup, the Ilulissat Icefjord Centre affords breathtaking views of the glaciers and their history. This extraordinary edifice is both an exhibition centre and meeting place, far from everything, and yet our warm Lomage ankle boots with their natural shades, lugged soles and contrasting zip seem to be glancing in its direction.

ON THE MOVE

When a red stripe creates movement. Our Dayzie ankle boots sport a shiny zip on the side - an aesthetic and practical choice- happily lighting up the way. When, American artist K. Smith III chooses, in turn, to highlight the landscape with monumental works, installations in cities and deserts&#; When bright or reflective graphic effects put everyday life into magnificent perspective, here, there and everywhere.

TO BE OR KNOT TO BE

The lustrous colour, with the quintessence of black, create a timeless harmony here with technical vibes. Our Padnom ankle boots feature high profiling, metal lace holes and cut-out soleq, for go-anywhere move(s) Industrial materials and classical inspirations are the impetus behind French artist and designer Julien Cedolin&#;s architectural sculptures. All are driven by the same graphic, practical approach.

LACES AND RELAXATION

Making the connection&#; between abstraction and realism, softness and firmness. Such is the congenial rationale behind the Ulu furniture range designed by American-Armenian artist Ara Thorose. The line is uphlstered in foam, wool and silk. Making the connection&#; between support and well-being, streamlining and precision. This is the well-thought-out approach behind our Lombox ankle boots and their fine, elegant laces.

WELL RED

The laces and lacing of our Larina ankle boots are naturally designed to ensure a perfect fit &#; and more. They also add visual accents that highlight their soft feel and make all the difference. A red and, to some extent, common thread that similarly distinguishes the chandeliers from American design duo Astraeus Clarke, whose globes appear to be suspended by a lacquered steel thread.

COMPOUND INTEREST

Shedding light on movement and vice versa is the extra style feature of our Baosha ankle boots, whose metallic reflections highlight their smoothly rounded, mercurial contours. This is also the secret behind the spectacular effect of the cast aluminium armchair by Objects of Common Interest studio based in New York and Athens, which won the public vote at the Dezeen awards, for its work on experiential environments and objects within both the realms of the permanent and the ephemeral.

FOREVER GOLD

Somewhere between sky and earth, air and water, flight and immersion, the Heaven & Hell spa at Hotel Hubertus, -situated in the Italian Tyrol and designed by the Noa agency, is the promise of truly memorable sensations. As though suspended in the air, floating harmoniously with the horizon and the clouds, you lose your bearings as you find a sense of serenity. The especially bright chiaroscuro palette, echoed by the metallic reflections of our Onytri ankle boots, whose vigour/momentum &#; albeit more everyday and down to earth &#; is nonetheless truly airborne.

FOREVER GOLD

Carats with character: whether brushed or patinated, the golden touch is a timeless treasure, as illustrated here by our Joleen Derbies, whose &#;golden triangle&#; reflects everlasting style. This approach &#; a product of deep &#;reflection&#; &#; can also be found in the work of French designers Léa Padovani and Sébastien Kieffer, whose rigorously streamlined creations in copper and brass, including vases, lamps and armchairs, state their case as centrepieces with infinite power of attraction.

ATMOSPHERIC

There&#;s something in the air&#; the desire for peace and quiet, well-rounded authenticity and organic dimensions, like a need to go back to the roots. Making way for greater sensuality, and placing the emphasis on the simple pleasures in life: this was the inspiration for our Baosha ankle boots and their natural allure and clean and streamlined design. The ideal companion for cool days and cold nights here and there, with their fur-lined interior which offers comfy protection from the elements. This snug comfort also inspired young American artist Tara Donovan, as illustrated here by her monumental installation redolent of weightless flakes and cocoons.

LUSH PLUSH

Sheepskin immediately conjures up thoughts of cosy snugness. And rightly so: very few fabrics come even close in terms of warmth and comfort, which is why we have chosen it for our Andosk ankle boots, for protective, go-anywhere companionship. There again, the same luxuriant plush feel also applies to the Elysia armchair, designed by Luca Nichetto and distributed by De La Espada &#; furniture that exudes rest, relaxation and the good life.

DIGITAL (FOOT)PRINTS

Soft focuses and colour fades have been the leitmotif of Taiwanese artist JCT Li work for over a decade now. Her photographs of anonymised subjects, digital images, which she stretches, pulls out of shape and transforms, so as to give them new faces that are no longer human but abstract, as mercurial chiaroscuro figures. Accordingly, these contrasting shades echo our Baosha and Andsky ankle boots, whose shades and varying colour intensity emphasise the momentum effect.

BLOWING IN THE WIND !

Pastel shades inspired by a gust of wind give the impression that they draw their life force from air and water, soft, wispy bursts carried by the poetry of nature. This is where the added value of our Andosk fur-lined ankle boots lies, in a pastel blue that to all appearances gives them wings. This ethereal feel has, in turn, been captured magnificently by American photographer Thomas Jackson in his series of photos that portray pieces of fabric blown by the wind, lofty images twixt infinite horizons and intangible abstractions.

ILLUMINATING !

How light influences colour and vice-versa. Major artist Felipe Pantone constantly explores the way that screens, omnipresent in our lives, turn our visual perception on its head. His works are comprised of diffraction effects, metallic reflections and kinetic flows, with variations on a theme of radiance. Our Baryky ankle boots are also, in their way, on the same wavelength, catching both the light and the eye, thanks primarily to use of pearl suede, which offers a plethora of alluring reflections..

IN THE MOOD FOR OPULENCE

When colour accompanies everyday living and buzzing city life. More than a footnote, our eyecatching Baryky ankle boots, with shifting sparkle and reflections that brightly and smartly blend into the most contemporary of landscapes. In turn, the W Hotel Osaka, designed by Dutch studio Concrete takes on all the codes of the lively area in which is located, featuring neon effects, flowing fluorescent lighting and smooth walls and rounded corners, to create a decidedly festive atmosphere, morning, noon and night.

STRIKE UP THE BAND(S)!

Colours that take steps in the right direction, on the creativity trail, is the challenge taken up by our Baryky ankle boots. Available in a palette of some twenty shades, they are designed to suit every type of personality &#; the most natural, too. This is what makes all the difference on the made-to-order wooden loop bench from Porter+Trundle, inspired by city travels and urban jaunts.

"CONVEX"

A cross between abstract and figurative, an exercise in style that has neither beginning nor end. Chilean agency gt2p has explored the specific area where a branch meets the tree trunk for its inspiration, to create a furniture concept dubbed &#;Suple&#;. Its range of shelving, seating and tables, described as  &#;convex polygons&#; and &#;bounding&#; forms&#;, are as aesthetic as they are practical. Our Dayxoo boots, in their own way, prove the point with their patchwork design.

PASTEL PUZZLES

Selective affinities, and inspirations full of surprises are the order of the day here. Our Sixxoo boots in pastel patchwork are a nod to the works of young Spanish artist Farah Atassi and make their presence felt with their generously soft, geometric design. The truly graphic spirit of Farah Atassi&#;s paintings is in turn inspired by the Cubist works of Pablo Picasso, which are to be featured in an exhibition at the Musée Picasso name this autumn.
Farah Atassi Exhibition at the Musée Picasso

INTO THE FOLD

Our Baokow boots create an ethereal feel, a delicate breath, that leaves nothing to chance. They offer the ultimate in support and softness, and can be turned down at will, their pastel shade a perfect match for every mood. In the same vein, the metal furniture by design agency Nendo, the quintessence of gracefulness and sophistication, draw their inspiration from sheets of paper infused with watercolours, folds included. Cosy refinement is the watchword here.

BLUE WAVE

You could almost call it a tidal wave: blue puts on a show or, to be more specific, &#;shows&#;, and gives it its all in full graphic splendour, as the perfect fashion and style companion. Ankle boots, moccasins and ballerinas, tailored capes, dresses or knits, to each her own, finding right matching lines and prints for an all-over personalised look to suit you.

FUTURE PLEASURES

Designed for lasting enjoyment and rooted in the here, now and always. This is the approach adopted by arche, whose signature &#; timeless combined with modernity &#; states its case here in our Joesho ankle boots with its enduring lines and exclusive print, very much of the times. It is also the approach taken by Greek designer Savvas Laz, whose totem-like furniture are one-off pieces made from waste and scrap materials found in the street.

BLUE AND BEAUTIFUL

This season, blue is the colour, setting the tone and style more so than ever before, as illustrated by its presence &#; and prominence &#; in the beauty world. At Ormaie, L&#;Ivrée Bleue fragrance celebrates the the height of exotic sensuality with its bottle designed by Jade Lombard. Kevin Murphy haircare products slip into blue, graphic plastic bottles that are made entirely from recycled materials. While Tears in Rain mascara, by Ben Gorham from Byredo, has an eye for everything, including its ergonomic design. And last but not least, blue is in the air and on the skin, with this exclusive arche embossed print on full-grain calfskin for its Sixizz ankle boots.

FOLLOW THE PLASTIC FOLDS

Pastels and draping are ideal partners, creating subtle shading effects. As illustrated here with our Dayski ankle boots, whose ultra supple leather is perfect for making all the right moves. In the same vein, French artist Manon Steyaert&#;s striking works feature silicone sheets that are sculpted to produce a trompe-l&#;oeil effect, perhaps the first of a new generation of watercolours.

SENSATIONS AT WORK

Australian artist Daniel O&#;Toole&#;s approach is to film radiant variations in solar activity, record synthesised sounds and to draw his inspiration form these to a world of sensations. His &#;atmospheric&#; pieces are accompanied my a music track that is just as hypnotic. His immersive work creates a resolutely luminous experience which, in the process, is perfectly in keeping with the subtle colour palette of our Andsky ankle boots.

AURORA AURA

With their palette of vibrant, contrasting boreal colours, duos of materials and textures, our Baosha ankle generate a plethora of refined, shifting effects. In turn, the stunning LED lamps by New York-based design studio Richard Clarkson, in resin, acrylic and aluminium, create a subdued, hushed atmosphere with their dispersed reflections &#; with their lyrical soft focus of blue, mauve and green.

ART, GOLD AND ARCHES...

It goes without saying that the temptation was too great to mention this work by Chinese artist Ai Wei Wei, installed in front of Stockholm&#;s Nationalmuseum (after a stint in New York). The golden brushed-steel construction is, moreover, entitled Arch. However, quite apart from this anecdotal aside, and its structural beaty &#; the silhouette of a couple &#;opening&#; the cage &#; its celebrates a world without borders, travelling without let or hindrance. A cause that our Suzhan sneakers with their matching reflections, and arche shoes in general, have always championed through unrestricted design. They are made to go far, here there and everywhere.

IN ORBIT

Plays on light, a metallic aura and truly magical movement are the keys to the invaluably rich design, with matt and glossy gold tones that celebrate everyday life unstintingly. Accordingly, our Andhye sneakers shine as never before, whilst the Janus table lamp, designed by US agency Trueing, creates a plethora of effects and reflections thanks to its dichromatic glass and its orbiting planet appearance.

GOLD IN A FOUNTAIN

Black and copper set the tones for a metal veneer to create an about-town look, as seen here with our Joenhy slip-ons, sporting that quintessential style and contemporary lustre. In the same, authentically chic vein, the range of pens by Taiwan&#;s Ystudio in copper and brass are the perfectly streamlined travelling companions, whose well-thought out designs are a source of endless inspiration.

GOLDEN WEDDING

With your feet firmly on the ground or your head in the clouds. For the same sophisticated approach to refinement. With, on the one hand, our Joleen derbies, a happy marriage of gold, black and strict elegance. And, on the other, Peak, the New York restaurant created by David Rockwell. Nestled on the 101st floor, the eatery features contrasting panoramic shadows, panoramic lighting and metal reflections.

GLOWING CONTRASTS

When contrasts are a source of modernity. With their graphic lines and volumes in the round, soft pastels and dynamic flexibility, our Androz sneakers have great fun wrong-footing preconceived ideas. The limited-edition standard lamps from Barber & Osgerby also play the game with combinations of bright contrasting colours. The bronze base, aluminium structure and Murano blown-glass shades rise to the occasion. From straight lines to moving circles, bright colours to glowing opal, these standout pieces resolutely attract the light.

VIVID VISIONS

Vibrant is the watchword this season. Our timeless moccasins, sporting a palette of bright shades, have a real surprise in store and gaily turn old habits on their head. There&#;s nothing like a dash of verve to spice up everyday life. This is also the premise for the work of New York designer Mana Sazegara, whose fun constructions, especially her mirrors, create a plethora of jigsaw puzzle effects and ultra-colourful graphic combinations.

CUTS ABOVE THE REST

The very essence of quintessence, in other words the perfect combination of form, function and functionalism. This objective is undoubtedly one of the most common denominators in the world of design. And yet, it requires experience, rigour and precision, which have always been arche&#;s driving forces since the very beginning. You will find proof of this in our Swamoy men&#;s sneakers, which strike just the right balance between well-being and taking comfort in your stride. Another fine example of this are the kitchen-knife and scissor holders designed by the South Korean Isy studio for Modori, compact porcelain blocks that are easy and delightful to handle with their subtle curved shape..

FOLLOW THE FOLD

Or how materials affect the behaviour of colours. Young Swedish artist Darja Vereinova Nordberg has set out to explore this relationship, as illustrated here by her cleverly arranged folded or pleated textiles &#; woven and twisted to create contrasting colour gradients and light variations. Here again, fabrics and fashioning are the watchwords. Depending on the tone, our Nirano full-grain nubuck calfskin moccasins take on a new spin, with even greater depth and intensity.

ARTISTIC CLIMAX

When two great minds think alike and come together in the Pinault Collection - Bourse de Commerce, in Paris, it&#;s a chance to (re)discover the works of the late Cuban conceptual artist Felix Gonzalez-Torres. His oeuvre echoes the installations of American artist and writer Roni Horn, a proponent of radical minimalism, whose glass cylinders &#; like nuances of air, water and ice &#; give pride of place to the full potential of white. In doing so, they act as reminders of the colour&#;s natural luminosity. As a result, white casts light on timeless, eternal and irrepressible brightness, a source of sleek design here, there and everywhere &#; as illustrated by our Naskay sneakers in immaculate white.

NEW WAVES

This is a tale of serenity and calm. So much more than just a colour, blue bursts with poignant musings and timelessness. This is the secret of our Naskay sneaker, infusing it with a sense of harmony, or rather airiness. It also inspired Korean artist and designer Rahee Yoon for her installations, furniture and objects in the form of translucent blocks, which diffuse a blue aura from within, as hypnotic as it is intangible.

ZIG-ZAG ZOOM

Striking just the right balance is the cornerstone of the most enduring&#; and sustainable design. Which explains the meticulous precision of the cut-outs of our Kimono and Gymliz sandals, the use of contrasting soft and tauter materials, and graphic interspersions. The model has been designed with particular attention to  both the overall concept and the minutest detail. And if proof were needed of the prime importance of proportions, look no further than the iconic Zig-Zag created by Gerrit Thomas Rietveld in (and reissued by Cassina), whose timeless design is as contemporary today as it was back then.

DISTINGUISHING FEATURES

Lines with a cabalistic feel that makes its marks as an adornment shrouded in magic and mystery. Graphic effects that step out of the realm of strict geometry to reach a more&#; irrational&#; dimension. Accordingly, the black-and-white colour scheme of andbal sneakers and aurnaa sandals follows in the footsteps of slick raw tribal art, whereas Mexican artist Jimena Montemayor, in turn, creates a plethora of media and techniques in a search for the poetry of signs.

ON THE CULTURE GRID

Graphic precision and radiance in black and white: with Gervasoni, Italy&#;s Paola Navone, one of today&#;s most talented designers takes on steel for a set of coffee tables made with what looks like a structure of random joins and intersections. The result is furniture that can best be described as virtuoso sculpture from end to end. In turn, our Ikorro sandals look at criss-crossing lines from a different angle, with a more exotic inspiration, admittedly, yet equally powerful visually.

GREEN, GREEN&#; GLASS

On the one hand, arche draws its inspiration from nature. Its choice of outstanding leathers and its palette of fresh and vital green colours, plant and flora shades which bring on the sun in style, as with its Myakki sandals. On the other, young Breton designer Lucile Viaud sourced her creations from the sea bed.. In conjunction with the Institute Chemical Sciences in Rennes, she designed her Ostraco geoglass range using marine waste. Her marine glass pieces, which found favour with Michelin three-star chef Olivier Roellinger and now grace the tables at his restaurant, earned her France&#;s &#;Initiative Remarquable&#; prize in for &#;the expertise of tomorrow&#;.

SO NEAR AND YET SO FAR

Being part of a story, a heritage, a part of nature is more than a principle: it is a state of mind and respect. The determination to match ethics with aesthetics. At arche, this philosophy is a part of the House DNA, whose designs, made in the Loire Valley, are the result of short supply chains with long-established partner suppliers. This ensures that each model, as with the Vayani sandal, is authentic, sustainable and long-lasting, with that special je-ne-sais-quoi. In a different manner, but with similar convictions, Indian architecture and interior design firm Renesa has created a new restaurant, bar and café, Elgin Café, in the Punjab. The new venue, a mix of smart and traditions, is in emerald green, the colour of the local granite, and bedecked with wood and wicker, which are also local.

RADIANT GLASS

There&#;s no doubt about it: reflecting effects here and there are enable you to broaden your horizons, outlook and perspectives is. The secret is to merge colour and light that shimmer and resonate together. This is what gives Dutch designers Rive Roshan&#;s corrugated glass panels their poetic beauty, and the illuminated and illuminating purity of their dial table. And, naturally, adds an extra dimension to our andozy slip-ons, whose leather wavers between green and bronze hues, creates a radiant movement.

LINEN AND LINES

Both natural and ecological, linen weaves and entwines its true fibre everywhere. Here, it wraps our Auhala in elegant beige. It also, it rounds off the corners of the minimalist furniture created by French designers Charlotte Esquenet & Julie Entremont d&#;Exsud, in raw, chic fashion. For their Flax range, a black steel coffee table, stool and mirror take on a highly tactile dimension.

DESIGNER MATERIAL

Linen is an infinite source of technical innovation. Accordingly, its uses are developing as myriad ecosystems of and for the future, with inventive combinations creating new highly resistant and ecologically virtuous materials. The result of European know-how, the linen selected by arche &#; lined with technical jersey &#; creates a sense of well-being, well ahead of its times. Proof of this is to be found in our Edeana and Edearo sneakers. Allied with plant resin and renamed Varian®, it has become a structural textile for French designers, as illustrated by the acoustic screen from Juam Studio published by Cider, and these Rivage light fittings from Market Set. In turn, the avant-garde chair designed by Christien Meiderstma in combines linen with a bioplastic. The design, with its virtuous life cycle, won a raft of awards at the time and is still highly contemporary, so much so that it has been reissued by Label/Breed.

ON ART AND LINEN

Linen offers endless creative possibilities. It is a natural choice and ally at arche, whose Egeori sandals illustrate the perfect balance between resilience and sensuality. It is also an organic material for American artist Sheila Hicks, who has made textiles and fibres &#; linen, in particular &#; the leitmotif of a monumental body of work exhibited in some of the world&#;s leading museums. Her sculpted, woven and knotted works, which exude a form of voluptuous beauty, a cross between raw art and tribute to femininity, are waiting to be discovered at one of the UK&#;s finest art galleries, The Hepworth Wakefield, until the end of September. Sheila Hicks &#; Off Grid From 7 April to 25 September 202 &#; The Hepworth Wakefield.

INTENSELY...

Share and share alike, with a variety of bean(s) and a taste for colour. When classics are reinvented, they're never quite the same or completely different. Our Auhala sandals are decked in « tonka » leather, an original mix of warm red and uber-graphic features. In turn, award-winning chef Yannick Alleno and eminent pastry chef Aurélien Rivoire have created a range of chocolates with novel flavours and highly graphic designs.

VISIBLY...

With his feel for grid patterns, subtle curves and a creative flame, Charles Rennie Mackintosh designed his revolutionary, now-legendary, Hill House chair 120 years ago. Eighteen years ago, German designer Maarten Baas made headline news with his burnt-design classics &#;Where There&#;s Smoke&#; show, for which he set fire to some twenty iconic 20th-century chairs, including the Hill House model. The charred piece, partly consumed by the flames as a result has, in turn, made it into posterity with its strong, confident aesthetic. Today, arche has created a connection between the timeless and the here and now with its Drick sandal, as a tribute to lasting design.

ESSENTIALLY...

Genuine materials, familiar lines and proportions, ingrained in our individual and collective memories. These are the classic premises for creating elements of surprise. Following suit, our legendary Baryky ankle boots and Baliko sandals dress up in terracotta red with ethnic motifs, while ceramist Manon Oller uses essential shapes as the artistic playground for her works.

ARTISTIC ROOTS

Organic lines and links, wood with nothing to hide &#; quite the contrary. Henrique Oliveira&#;s Momento fecundo in the Grange aux Abeilles at the Domaine de Chaumont sur Loire catches the eye and taps into our emotions. In the same way as with the Brazilian artist&#;s other works, this sculpture tells of life, its fractures and accidents&#; And, like our Lombha ballerinas, reminds us how much nature and the tree of life nurture art and craftsmanship.

SUMPTUOUS FORESTS

The Loire Valley is a true source of inspiration, which arche taps into for its driving force and sustainable values. These values are exemplified especially by its 99% plant-derived lines, as used in its Comhan sandals. The Loire Valley is also a true source of respiration, where another of nature&#;s treasures nestles. Make tracks for the direction highly eco-responsible Loire Valley Lodges hotel to live life to the full in the heart of nature. By a centuries-old oak and a wishing tree, the cabins are perched between the branches to create comfy and cosy nests. The perfect resort setting for getting away from it all, designed by Tourangeau architect Isabelle Poulain using wood essences from the surrounding forest: Douglas fir, chestnut and oak.

DOWN TO THE HOLLOW

The supreme art of filling a void or when alveolar effects fulfil a specific function. In the case lines in Lactae Hevea®, such as Comlow derby or Lomzee richelieus, the air bubbles contained in the material provide outstanding flexibility. On the artistic front, Vincent Mauger &#; a visual artist from the Loire Valley region &#; focuses on exploring thought and space constructions with his &#;honeycomb&#; structures.

SHINING EXAMPLES

There&#;s nothing like shades of orange to shine at all times, casting a stream of light caught mid-air. Especially if they&#;re lacquered, like our Nasdry slip-on. Or translucent like the resin column and bench by designer Laurids Gallée, a master in the use of the substance as robust as it is refined.

GO ORANGE

British artist Es Devlin, whose spectacular installations are celebrated around the world, is campaigning concretely against the climate crisis: after her games of mirrors and perspectives presented in in Miami - reflections on breath and respiration - here she is associated with the very ethical fashion brand Pangaia for a collab of four pieces in organic cotton, the profits of which will be donated to an environmental NGO. A resolutely orange lifewear, symbol for her of the ecological fight. Arche will not contradict it, by making bright orange one of its flagship colors this season&#;. Evidenced by its Andrya sneakers with anti-cyclonic energy.

BRIGHT CONNECTIONS

Banking on the play of contrasts and constructions: this is one of arche's skills, as shown here by the luminous ballerina Onyoko crossing brilliantly graphic bands. And this is also what characterizes the work &#; and the finds &#; of the German designer Andreas Berlin< /a>. His sources of inspiration: vintage objects gleaned from junk shops and antique dealers with which he composes unique table legs surmounted by well-balanced tops.

Dassault Falcon 10X cabin is masterclass in French design ...

As French business jet manufacturer Dassault Aviation proceeds apace towards the entry-into-service date for its ultra-long-range flagship Falcon 10X, its upgraded concept cabin is bringing home the gongs from design awards, with the latest being from the Red Dot Awards.

This striking new cabin is a look, feel and functionality upgrade from the rather more sedately classic cabin that Dassault released at the time of the business jet&#;s launch just over a year ago. But even more so, it is a true masterclass in drawing inspiration from a variety of meaningful sources without resorting to pastiche or even much motif.

The overall aesthetic brings real shades of Mondrian, whose Cubist period in Paris in the s is just one of the influences that is very French yet very refined. Glossy whites, deep blacks, geometric shapes and primary accents in blue and yellow are inspired without being cliché. It brings a modern &#; and Modernist &#; feel to the cabin, harkening back to works by other French artists of the period like Braque, Chagall, and Duchamp. It&#;s très très French, in the most chic kind of way.

There&#;s an attractive asymmetry to the design, especially around the colours, materials and finish.

As one example, where the two sofas that convert into beds face each other across the cabin, Dassault has varied the look both in colour and in shape. One sofa has a leather armrest and a horizontal separation of the cushions, which are light grey throughout, while the one opposite has a differently shaped back form stretching only two and a third cushions across, in a darker grey.

Beyond these sofas, the pass-through to the next cabin is off-centred, with half the bulkhead wall in a vertically panelled wood (itself with a set of asymmetrical vertical shelves for books and objets d&#;art), then slightly more than half of the remaining space as the door, and then the rest is a monochrome all-black textured leather houndstooth on the wall.

Elsewhere in the cabin, even where seats of the same style facing symmetrically &#; either across the aircraft centreline or perpendicular to it &#; their seat fabric varies, breaking up the eye and creating a much more residential feel.

This is helped by the geometrical carpet with its bright, almost Klein blue (more French influence there), a colour that is dramatically echoed on the seating space across from the low medium-toned wood and black marble credenza that holds a massive television.

The credenza echoes other wood panelling through the cabin, whether on a bulkhead wall, the drawers under the double bed, or an accent in the seating area.

Additional accent surfaces are also coherent without being matchy-matchy or repetitive: leather-effect doors around the sink area, glossy granite-style work surface and accent bulkhead in the kitchen space, a warm neutral beige matte on a large bulkhead, a smaller bulkhead with an almost rippling curtain, and an almost invisible medium-sized bulkhead that matches the wall and ceiling material &#; it all works incredibly well together.

Dassault&#;s mix of shine is also impressive, spanning gloss (on the brilliant white kitchen and sink areas), semi-gloss (the light-catching houndstooth leather and some of the wood effect) and matte (the carpet and furniture fabrics).

This mixture of asymmetry, complementary colours and a variety of textures is bang on modern design thinking.

It feels curated and fresh when compared with pairs of the same chairs in the same design aesthestic in the same fabric and the same accent material plonked down inside the cabin, with the only variety coming from the number and direction of the chairs.

Dassault has done a fantastic job here. Not only is this clever design, it is recognisably French, and almost timeless.
